I saw these bracelets for sell at Christmas bazaars this year, and really wanted one, but didn't want to spend the money on myself when I had gifts to buy. Today I found the directions for making them on-line, and thought my Gather friends might like making them too. The idea of these bracelets is not for fashion (although they are very cool looking), the idea is for emergencies and/or wilderness survival. When in an emergency situation, the bracelet can be taken apart and the cord used for various purposes such as making a shelter, securing a load, building a make-shift gurney, making a fishing line, etc. Make these for yourself, to give as gifts, or to sell.

How very neat! I checked the bracelets out.........haven't ever seen anything like them before, but I really do love them........I totally agree....that everyone should have one!!!!!! I just found a few over on Amazon.com for something like $4.00 or so.......am thinking about getting one!
